Oklahoma Bingo

Oklahoma has long been synonymous with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Amerindian bands of Oklahoma have operated Bingo sessions for generations. Clients from all of the nearby states pile in cars and head over to Oklahoma to enjoy Bingo on the weekends.

The 1988 IGRA became law after a benchmark decree by The U.S. Supreme Court the year prior. From that time, 23 of the thirty nine Indian tribes located in Oklahoma have opened bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Amerindian band to take advantage of the betting rules, and today operate ten gambling halls of their own. Bingo was the game on which these gambling halls were founded. Electronic games such as slot machines were not authorized, because they are thought to contribute to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules has changed to permit large Amerindian gambling gambling dens. You will now discover Amerindian casinos with slots, video poker and black jack tables. Craps and roulette are still not allowed in the Amerindian gambling halls as of yet, however this is only a matter of time. No one can authority whether having different gambling den games in the bingo parlors will do for the draw of bingo.
